- If oxygen levels in the atmosphere were below 13%, fire would not be possible. If the level of oxygen were over 30%, forest fires would go out of control and destroy the entire biosphere.
- It would take 80,000 yrs to remove all oxygen from atmosphere. Without plants, it would take only a few thousand.
- If all the ice held on planet earth was to melt, the global average rise in sea level would be 120m.
